Sunday Night Live

We are often scared of Jesus' authority because we associate athority with losing power. Pastor Robin helped us to discover Jesus's authority anew through Mark's gospel, where Mark describes Jesus authority as good news. Jesus has the authority to free the demon possesed, the sick, injured, lost, afraid and dead. This authority in our life is our greatest blessing.

Tonight we launched into a new series at Sunday Night Live, looking at what it means to be His. We belong to God and this changes everything for us. God welcomes the unwanted who are searching, he clenses the sin-ruined who repent and he remakes the rejects into recurits. Join us as we continue to find out what this means and pray that we can hear the voice of God, persue the plan he has for us and seek the mission he has placed on our lives.

Fresh from his life-changing experince serving Schoolies at Red Frogs, Rhys Doble spoke to us tonight on "one". He talked about how we need to have "one-ness" in wellness, work and worship in our lives. At times life can be confusing, hectic and down-right hard, but we can remember that we are part of the body of Christ; if we all do our part well- God will be glorified.

Every Christmas has a story. Some times, as Tim Kelly shared with us, they can be about getting your brother a Disco Duck song. Sometimes however, we can hear Christmas stories so much that we forget where we fit in them. We become desensitized to what is a truely amazing event. Where do you fit in the Christmas story this year?
